The Immersed In Music staff wishes everyone a joyous (musical!!) holiday season, as everyone takes a well deserved two week break before starting a very busy second semester.
Schedules will get very busy, very quickly because rehearsals will take on a whole new level of intensity as bands prepare to enter the studio to begin recording songs for the 2018-19 compilation CD. Individual band schedules have already been assigned, with Orbit and Revolution beginning in the studio the week IIM returns on January 7 and 8.
Also on tap for the new calendar year, depending on the interest, is a half-year Young Rockers and a five-month Rockers program. IIM is contemplating offering both, if there are enough students interested in joining us. These bands would have the opportunity to prepare for and participate in the end of the year live shows. This can be a great opportunity for people whose Fall schedules couldn’t accommodate one more weekly commitment or students who were too young to start in September. If you know anyone who might be interested, please encourage them to contact Rick, Rick, or Habiba as soon as possible.
