New and many returning young musicians had their Placement experiences on Monday and Tuesday this week. This was the first chance for students to show the staff how they approach learning a song. It was also an opportunity for them to answer questions about their musical knowledge.
Staff members use their observations of these experiences to help determine how to organize everyone into the bands in which they will have both the most success and the most fun.
Everyone did a great job, and most of the bands are completed. Habiba, IIM’s Programs Manager, is now in the process of notifying each student who their bandmates will be and when their band will rehearse.
