Immersed In Music staff will hold the first Orientation for the upcoming 2018-19 year at 6:00 p.m. this coming Tuesday, August 7, at The Londonderry School, 1800 Bamberger Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
If you have not yet registered, go to immersedinmusic.com, fill out the online registration forms, and pay the associated Materials Fee to hold a space. Or if you have questions, come to the Orientation, find out about all the great opportunities and sign up then. Rick, Habiba and Rick will be on hand to greet newcomers and welcome back old timers.
Orientations provide an opportunity for parents and students to hear what’s new for the coming year, and to ask questions about any of the course and class offerings. It is also a time to review operational procedures, finalize paperwork and, for Rockers course students, choose a time slot for Placements. Placements happen the week of September 10 and provide an opportunity for those students to show the staff what they can do musically. Seeing each student’s skill level enables staff to arrange the bands in a way that maximizes both musical growth and fun.
Orientations are for all first time and returning IIM students in Young Rockers, Advanced Young Rockers, Rockers Prep, Rockers, Sound Engineering, and Video Production courses, as well as students interested in Songwriting, Live Sound Engineering, and Music Theory classes..
