For over a year now, IIM has been offering individual instrument lessons for guitar, bass, vocals, and piano. Experienced music teachers, who are skilled in instrument instruction and honed on performance stages, offer unique learning experiences for beginning and advanced students.
Camela Widad Kraemer, IIM’s vocal instructor, is a singer-songwriter who has toured the U.S. for over 20 years, earned a BA in Theatre, trained in Live Stage Performance techniques, and has 25 years of songwriting under her belt. She has maintained a thriving private vocal coaching practice in Central PA for 10 years.
Rick Stevens, IIM Co-Founder, was a teacher and Assistant Director at the Londonderry School for 43 years. He has taught piano lessons for over 30 years. Rick also played in the local/regional bands Etosha and Oasis from 1980 to 1989, and played, wrote, and recorded with Oasis on their 1985 album, Common Ground.
Titus Irvin, John Bower, and Alex Valsing all teach guitar and bass, keeping lessons fun, engaging, and focused. Lessons are a mix of learning student requested songs and focusing on technique and accuracy, as well as activities and lessons designed to teach basic music theory.
Rick Batley, IIM Co-Founder, also incorporates vocal, guitar, and bass work into his Music Theory and Songwriting classes. Rick’s extensive background in the music business includes jobs with Fuel, The Black Crowes, Darcie Miner Band, and countless local musicians, as well as teaching music and developing a music curriculum for Londonderry School.
And if drumming is your passion, make sure to contact IIM’s drummer extraordinaire, Wade Corbin. Wade is a professional musician with more than 25 years of on-the-road experience. Wade supervises the drum instructors at Dale’s Drum Shop, in addition to carrying a teaching load of more than 40 students per week.
