This week, everyone got back to work, after a restful holiday break.
The Young Rockers refreshed their memories of their 2-song sets and settled into their third song choices, once again changing instruments. The Quackers (Tuesday’s YRA band) has begun working on “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts, a difficult song that they are breaking down into short sections. Silver Chains (Monday at 3pm) has started “Stressed Out” by Twenty One Pilots, and the Six Friends girl band has a good start on the Kidz Bop version of Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger.” Everyone continues to enjoy the many challenges of learning and working together.
Rockers 3 bands are down to the wire to prep for recording. Look Out for the Train has opted to wait until later in the Spring to finalize their recording plans. Olivia is working hard on her three originals, which she also plans to cut in the studio later in the Spring. Forever in Denial and Mango Marauders are ready. Forever in Denial goes next week, both Monday and Tuesday, and have settled on Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down,” Offspring’s “Gone Away,” and Sam’s original song “New Generation,” that everyone in the band worked with arranging.
