All of the IIM bands are practicing, practicing, practicing in preparation for their first live performances on December 18 and 19! Every band, from the youngest Young Rockers, Amplify Overload and The Radioactive Warriors, to the oldest, most experienced band The Watergate, is fine tuning their songs and discussing how they want to present themselves.
A few of the bands are planning how they want to dress. Others are practicing what they want to say to the audience. All of them are deciding on the order of their set, as well as getting their songs as tight as possible.
For some, this will be their first time performing in a band in public, and that can create a certain amount of nervousness. The staff has been helping the students understand that they can use the energy generated by those feelings to produce a more energized presentation. It’s all about supporting and communicating with each other.
And finally, the bands are promoting their show on social media, getting out the word that all are welcome to come out and enjoy the shows.
