Orientation Night Was a Huge Success!

Immersed In Music kicked off its seventh year of operation in a big way on Monday night, as parents and students of all ages came together to learn about this year’s offerings. Young Rockers, Advanced Young Rockers, Rockers Prep, Rockers, Sound Engineers, Drum Ensemble, and Private Lesson students all gathered with their parents and the staff.

We talked about several new opportunities in IIM this year. Anwar and Rick Stevens will be heading up a team of writers and artists in the creation of a Community Arts Magazine. Rick Batley, Wade, and Jay will be spearheading the Rockers Masters Class, in which they will mentor established working bands in order to help them take their goals to the next level.

Rockers band members had their heads together laughing and catching up from their summer away, and Young Rockers played and had fun as they reconnected with each other. Parents and staff members mingled and got paperwork signed. Returning families welcomed newcomers and everyone left ready to dedicate themselves to a new year of making music and expanding their creativity in all directions.

Watch for other new ventures in the coming months, as IIM hosts weekend workshops, live shows, and podcasts. The 2019-2020 year is going to be an exciting time at Immersed In Music. Come join the fun!
