Immersed in Music bands are now out on the town performing live shows. Last Tuesday, May 16 and this Tuesday, May 23, Immersed in Music families and supporters jammed into the Midtown Tavern on N. 2nd St. in Harrisburg to enjoy live performances by 8 different IIM bands.

The kids played to a packed house both nights as they rocked the crowd with both covers and original music. Parents, grandparents, and friends cheered and sang along with Cherry on Top, Last Light, American Canadians, and Reflecting Pool on the 16th and Charlemagne, The Metrognomes, Revoke and The Watergate on the 23rd.
On Sunday, May 21, two of our Young Rocker bands got their first taste of a live performance away from the comfort of Londonderry School when The Cookies and Crazy Bob Dabbing the Block rocked the Winner’s Circle. Nervousness was quickly forgotten as they responded to the cheers of the crowd with entertaining 4 song sets each. The American Canadians, The Last Light, Reflecting Pool and Revoke played next, and Le Drum Ensemble wrapped up the afternoon with their Led Zeppelin medley, ending with a wild flourish as the boys each took to their own drum sets in a cacophony of sound.
Next up is The Watergate playing a set of their originals (along with a few covers) at the Harrisburg Arts Festival this Sunday, May 28 at 12 noon. Check out their merchandise table (along with IIM T shirts, tour posters and CD’s) while you listen to this truly fantastic IIM band.
