Week 3

Things have really come together with all the bands. We have added new people at all levels and everyone is now actively putting together songs.
The Young Rockers A (Tuesdays at 3pm) are moving fast with Credence Clearwater Revival’s version of “Proud Mary.” Young Rockers B (Mondays at 3:45pm) have put together the intro and first verse of Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” And Young Rockers C (Mondays at 5pm), our all-girl band, has finished the intro, first verse and chorus of Bowling for Soup’s “1985.”
The new Rockers 3 band (still a trio, and we are still looking for a fourth member…) have already put together an impressive 3 songs. Their version of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” is great!  Both of the other Rockers 3 bands are working on writing some original material!!
Rockers 1&2:  The Library band is now named Pangea. They have finished putting together “Jump” and are now beginning to work on Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk.” “Anklebiters” turned out to be really frustrating and that group has now begun working on Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.”  Eli, Hanna, et al are doing some great work on expanding vocal harmonies and trade offs, strengthening what is turning out to be a wonderful version of the Beatles song.
