Young Rockers: Name that Tune!
This week all Young Rocker bands finished rough versions of their first songs and selected song number two. What songs are these hard-working young musicians playing in week three of rehearsal? Young Rockers A finished Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf. The band is doing a great job of listening to each other and keeping tempo, not always easy for new musicians. Young Rockers B just finished All Star by Smashmouth. After some minor adjustments to chords and vocal keys the song came together beautifully! Young Rockers C wrapped up rehearsal for their first song choice, Down on the Corner, by CCR. The song sounds great and the band spent fifteen minutes in their first mini-session working individually with instructors to refine their parts. Finally, Young Rockers D finished their first song (Old Time Rock and Roll), chose a second (Geronimo), and worked their way through the intro and first verse. All in all a productive three weeks for our youngest musicians!
