Older Students/Good Friends Organize In a New Format

“The Breads” is a new Immersed In Music band comprised of students who have all been in the Rockers program for a number of years. After being in different groups, the experiences they have had and the friendships they have formed have led them to join together in a new format.

Walking into one of their rehearsals, it is immediately apparent that they have internalized many of the core IIM lessons: they are talking respectfully to each other when trying to choose a new song, even when there are differences of opinion; they are using what they learned and practiced at home in order to utilize their rehearsal time effectively to put the music together as a group; and they are obviously having fun together as they banter with each other in between songs.

Graham, Jack, Caitlyn, Jonathan and Eli have already learned three songs during the past six weeks and are well on their way to having a significant set for the December live shows. So far, these veterans have mastered “Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down, “The Fratellis” by Chelsea Dagger, and “Zombie” by The Cranberries.

Look for them to impress a lot of people when they get a chance to showcase their talents on stage in December!
