IIM took over the Midtown Tavern again on Tuesday night, highlighting four more bands, as eight bands get ready to play the Appalachian Brewing Co. on Cameron Street in Harrisburg on Sunday, June 3rd at 1 pm. All twelve bands are featured again on Monday and Tuesday, June 4 and 5, at The Londonderry School.
The Sensations, GEHM, Charlemagne and The Watergate played to another enthusiastic packed house on Tuesday evening. It was so gratifying watching the growth and maturity of the students, many of whom have been in the program for several years, seeing how they have developed as musicians/entertainers, but also how they are maturing as people. There were also several students who were doing only their first or second live performance, and they stepped up and overcame fears to feel the satisfaction of helping their band succeed.
This Sunday, June 3 at 1 pm, The Appalachian Brewing Co. on Cameron Street in Harrisburg will host the next live performances. Amplify Overload, The Anonymous Penguins, the Drum Ensemble, Fever, The Sensations, The French Fries, Soft Lemonade and Charlemagne will take the stage upstairs to showcase their talents. This is IIM’s first time at ABC, so come out and support the bands and the program.
The final shows of the program year will be on Monday and Tuesday evenings at The Londonderry School, 1800 Bamberger Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. All Monday night bands will perform on Monday, June 4 at 6:30 pm. Tuesday night bands will be featured on Tuesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm.
Merchandise for sale at all the rest of the shows will include T-shirts with the new IIM logo, tour posters and compilation CDs. 100% of the profits from the sale of all IIM merchandise goes to fund scholarship help for families in need of financial support.
