The parking lot was full and the audience was loud and appreciative as IIM bands performed on Monday and Tuesday nights for the first time this year. Six bands played each evening, as new and old IIM students took to the stage with the material they have been working on since September.

Monday night’s crowd was treated to a 5 song set of original music by “The Watergate,” IIM’s longest standing band. Their show featured several songs from last year’s EP “I Am Yours,” as well as several new songs which will be on 2018’s full length cd. The band is scheduled to begin recording early in the new year. Young Rockers “The Radioactive Warriors”, Rockers Prep “The Anonymous Penguins,”and Rockers “GEHM,” “The French Fries,” and “The Sensations,” filled out the evening’s show.

Tuesday night’s lineup featured staff member Wade Corbin’s 4 student Drum Ensemble, as they played a 4 song “Star Wars” medley. Young Rockers “Amplify Overload,” Advanced Young Rockers “Babies in Space” and Rockers “Charlemagne,” “Fever,” and “Lemonade” rocked the house as well.

IIM bands will now take a well deserved two week break to spend time with families during the holiday season.  Rehearsals, as well as studio recording, will begin as of Monday, January 8, 2018.
